Felony Defense Attorney

If you've been charged with a felony, you are facing one of the most serious crimes in Missouri. If convicted, you face years — or even life — in prison. Prosecutors will waste no time building their case against you. You need a felony defense lawyer who will fight for you and your rights.

Talking to an attorney means sharing personal information about your past and any information relating to the alleged crime. This requires total trust and confidence. At The Law Office of Andrew T. Christie, LLC, everything you say to me is confidential. I am here to listen to your side of the story. I will never judge you. Instead, I will fight for you.

Defending You Against Felony Charges

Located in Kansas City, I — attorney Andrew Christie — represent clients in Gladstone and surrounding communities throughout the region who are facing felony criminal charges. I am known as a skilled felony trial attorney. I am not afraid to stand up to the government and fight for my clients' rights. I can handle even the most serious felony charges, including:

  • Homicide charges such as murder and manslaughter
  • Guns and weapons charges
  • Vehicular manslaughter
  • Felony DUI charges
  • Drug distribution and manufacturing charges
  • Armed criminal action (ACA) crimes
  • Internet sex crimes

In Missouri, felony charges are divided into four classes based on the type of crime. The more serious the crime, the longer the prison sentence:

  • Class A carries a minimum of 10 years in prison with a maximum of 30 years to life.
  • Class B felony convictions carry anywhere from five to 15 years in prison.
  • Class C felonies are punishable by up to seven years in prison and fines up to $5,000.
  • Class D is punishable by up to four years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.

In addition to fines and prison time, many convicted felons struggle to find employment and housing after serving their time. Convicted felons also lose their right to possess a gun — even a hunting rifle.
